Check more than the obvious tear
Walk the enclosure and look for loose spline, sagging panels, ripped corners, damaged lower panels, and door issues. One visible tear can be part of a larger weak area.
Do not pull on loose panels
Loose mesh can tear further if it is pulled by hand. Take photos instead and share them when requesting an estimate.
Book early after major storms
Screen contractors get busy after wind events. Include the city, number of damaged panels, and whether the damage is high on the cage.
